- ACT!vate Omaha is a
community wide initiative aimed at encouraging all Omahan's to be active
as a part of daily living.
- Active Living by Design
is a national program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and is a part
of the UNC School of Public Health in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
ACT!vateOmaha was funded by this program.
- Community Initiatives
practice a synergy of the art and science of building healthy and
sustainable communities. They are committed to transforming the
performance of organizations, corporations and their collaborative
community partnerships.
- The Coalition for
Healthier Cities and Communities is the US network of the healthy
cities and communities movement.
- International Healthy Cities
Foundation is a site that provides information regarding community and
urban.
- The Association for Community
Health Improvement is a membership association for people committed to
improving community health and well-being. Our Healthy Community
Partnership is a member of this organization.
- Search Institute
collaborates with others to promote long-term organizational and cultural
change that supports the healthy development of all children and
adolescents.
- Asset-Based Community
Development (ABCD) Institute provides effective tools for community
builders involved in the process of capacity-based initiatives, focusing
on asset-based initiatives.
- The Community Toolbox provides
practical tools for improving community health and development. This site
provides a wealth of resource on over 150 varies community health topics.
- Health Research and
Educational Trust (HRET) This site provides information on health care
finance, delivery, and access, and community health.
